Reduce dramatically the signs of ageing, photoageing and acne, and make your skin look younger with heterologous mesotherapy. At Geoplasty Plastic Surgery, we use the latest injectable treatments and certified, state-of-the art materials, tailored to your needs, to offer you radiant and healthy skin.
What heterologous mesotherapy is
The heterologous mesotherapy technique has been known for 50 years. Its main aim is to regenerate aged and damaged skin by infusing a large quantity of nutrients in a small area, without the risk of toxicity.
The substances that are used on their own, or in combination with hyaluronic acid, are vitamins, minerals, proteins, metals, lecithin, organic silicon, carnitine, etc. The substances are selected depending on the area of the body.
How heterologous mesotherapy is performed
On your first appointment, Dr Georgopoulos suggests the most suitable treatment for you, and offers you advice on the cycle of treatments you may need.
Before the treatment, the area is cleaned with antiseptic cleanser. He may also apply, local anaesthetic cream to reduce any discomfort.
Then, the doctor performs subcutaneous micro-injections with a special technique, customised for your case, no deeper than 3 mm under the skin.
After the treatment, we advise you to avoid touching the area, so as to avoid irritations and infections, and not use warm water for a few hours.
What areas of the body it is indicated for
The parts of the body where heterologous mesotherapy is usually applied are the following:
- Face, as a cosmetic and anti-ageing treatment
- Buttocks and thighs, for local fat treatment and improvement of cellulite
How long the treatment lasts
Session duration: 20 to 30 minutes
Treatment cycle: Once a week for a month and repeat once a month to maintain the result
In the majority of cases, you may normally continue your daily activities after treatment.
What the results of heterologous mesotherapy are
The results are not visible immediately after treatment. A few days and a number of sessions are required to achieve the maximum desired result.
- Reduces dramatically signs of ageing, photoageing and acne.
- Offers a more youthful look.
- Improves the quality, firmness and appearance of the skin.

What the possible complications of heterologous mesotherapy are
Heterologous mesotherapy rarely develops any side-effects.
Oedema or redness may appear immediately after treatment, but they quickly subside.
In rare cases, a mild reaction to the treatment may occur, which can be treated easily at once.
What other treatments can heterologous mesotherapy be combined with
For a more comprehensive result, you may combine various treatments in the same session.
On your first appointment, the doctor will diagnose your needs and, based on these, will formulate a Geoplasty Signature Treatment plan tailored to your needs. He will select the suitable combination of treatments that can offer you the desired result without affecting one another, and eventually improve your face.
