A thread lift is an innovative, safe and painless method that reduces sagging skin on the face and body without surgery. The use of threads is widespread in medical aesthetics worldwide, especially in the last 5 years.
The threads are 100% bio-absorbable. They are made of the same material that is used for medical sutures. They are manufactured in South Korea following the strictest European safety standards (CE).
A thread lift boosts the skin so as to lift the areas that suffer ptosis and laxity due to thin skin or ageing. The threads create a support structure, which lifts and supports facial and body tissue, in the safest manner possible. These threads, given that they are hydrolysed and absorbed by the human body, contribute to the production of new collagen.
They do not replace the conventional surgical facelift. However, they are an exceptional alternative for women and men who have mild or severe skin laxity and do not wish to undergo a surgical procedure.
A thread lift is performed with special, very thin and hollow needles, which are used to insert the threads. After the simple insertion of the needle and its removal, the thread grips its predetermined position. The procedure is repeated as many times as needed.
Typical candidates for a thread lift are people over 30 years old whose skin needs support and firming. The older the age, the thicker the structure should be, so as to stimulate the right collagen production in the affected area.
The threads are absorbed, meaning dissolved by the body via a hydrolytic process and turn into water and carbon dioxide, with a very predictable rate and manner. Through this process, the body stimulates collagen production in the affected area. In the end, the thread is dissolved and replaced by collagen fibres that are arranged precisely.

The firming results are immediate and improve day by day, stabilising after three months.
They last approximately 18-24 months. A follow-up is then scheduled to insert new threads and preserve the results.
