Autologous mesotherapy is the latest and most advanced non-surgical treatment available to the reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon today. This treatment is ideal for a wide range of patients, and in all cases uses the body’s natural resources to create an excellent result for patients. This method can be used to solve a wide range of problems for the patient in cases where surgery is not necessary or desired, and it is used for both reconstructive and cosmetic reasons. The skin is encouraged to heal itself, softening fine wrinkles and leading to a more radiant and youthful appearance.
This method is also ideal for a wide range of issues affecting the face, as it helps solve problems relating to anti-oxidisation, wrinkling and anti-aging, lifting of the facial tissue, acne, photo-aging, dehydrated skin and hair loss.
With the autologous process, Dr. Georgopoulos takes blood from the patient and separates it into three layers: red blood cells, white blood cells and platelet-rich plasma (PRP). This PRP is an excellent source of growth factors, proteins, minerals and stem cells that adapt to the affected site and stimulate the body to repair and improve itself. The activation of regenerative factors also lead to natural hydration of the skin and increased firmness.
This method can also be used by the Geoplasty Center to create a personalised mesotherapy mask or cream for the client that is guaranteed to be natural, safe and effective. This natural product can be created on location at the center and can be ready within the hour.
Dr. Georgopoulos passionately followed the development of autologous treatments from its early development. He is ideally placed to give you the advice you need regarding this treatment and will be able to deliver treatments for you that will meet all your expectations.
Mesotherapy involves micro-injections of no more than 5 mm under the skin in a pattern determined by Dr. Georgopoulos during consultation. The area is cleansed prior to treatment with an anti-bacterial agent and an anesthetic cream may be applied to reduce discomfort.
The application of autologous mesotherapy treatments will depend on the individual patient, and
Dr. Georgopoulos is skilled in determining the treatment that will work for you.
After the Procedure
In most cases, you will be able to carry on as normal. Dr. Georgopoulos will advise you not to touch the treated area to ensure the fluid remains in place.
Autologous mesotherapy rarely has negative side effects, although there may be some swelling or redness that will disappear quickly. In rare cases the patient can have a mild allergic reaction to the therapy, although this is easily treated. There is always a slight risk of infection. Dr. Georgopoulos will advise you on how to best manage your after-treatment care.
