Mesotherapy Face – Body
Mesotherapy replenishes aged or damaged skin by using small injections to introduce a combination of natural substances that improve blood circulation in the skin and improve firmness and tone. This can reduce the signs of aging, leading to a more youthful appearance.
Mesotherapy was originally developed to treat conditions such as rheumatism and joint injuries and to improve blood circulation. Now it is used as a cosmetic treatment for skin rejuvenation treatments and for localized fat treatment such as improving cellulite.
This treatment involves subdermal injections of very small amounts of various natural substances such as vitamins, minerals or hyaluronic acids.
Mesotherapy in the face can be very effective against photoaging, acme, dehydrate skin, aging spots, melasma and also hair-loss.
A single treatment will not bring noticeable results, so staff at the Geoplasty Center will advise you on a series of treatments that will bring results to meet your expectations.
Mesotherapy involves micro-injections of no more than 5 mm under the skin in a pattern determined by Dr. Georgopoulos during consultation. The area is cleansed prior to treatment with an anti-bacterial agent and an anesthetic cream may be applied to reduce discomfort.
The application of mesotherapeutic treatments will depend on the individual patient, and Dr. Georgopoulos is skilled in determining the treatment that will work for you.
After the Procedure
In most cases, you will be able to carry on as normal. Dr. Georgopoulos will advise you not to touch the treated area to ensure the fluid remains in place.
Mesotherapy requires a series of these treatments. Typically, these treatments are required every two weeks for one to two months, with further treatment necessary every three to six months.
Mesotherapy rarely has negative side effects, although there may be some swelling or redness that will disappear quickly. In rare cases the patient can have a mild allergic reaction to the therapy, although this is easily treated. There is always a slight risk of infection. Dr. Georgopoulos will advise you on how to best manage your after-treatment care.
